Whether you're in the home-stretch, stuck somewhere in the middle, or it's just a glimmer in your eye, I will help you create a manuscript that you are proud to call your own.
Proof-reading:
The end is in sight. You are so close to being finished with your manuscript that you can almost taste it. Yet, you can't seem to put it away until it has one more thorough going over. You want it to be perfect--every 'I' dotted, every 'T' crossed. With my standard proof-reading service, we'll send those typos, spelling and grammatical errors packing. This service includes:
- Unlimited teleconferencing.
Timeline: 7-10 days, depending on length of document.
Rate: $6.00 per 500 words.
Editing:
'Editing' is a very broad term. Some projects are so close to completion that all they need is a little tweak, while projects in their earliest stages might benefit from a more in depth review. Because of this, I've designed two levels of editing service to accommodate projects of all stages.
Content Edit:
My Content Edit involves a thorough revision of your existing manuscript. This service will refine languaging, organization, and consistency. After editing for content, your manuscript will be in top form. You will also receive:
- Overall feedback session: what makes your manuscript great and what changes will make it even better.
- 1-2 weekly phone conferences.
- Record of all changes and revisions using Word's Track Changes feature.
Timeline: Completed 1-3 months depending on length of project.
Rate: $60 per hour OR flat project fee (to be determined after initial consultation).
Developmental Edit:
You've taken the most difficult step of getting started. You have a great idea, an outline, maybe even a few chapters written or partial draft. But you'd like some help in seeing this project to the end. With this service, the editing process extends to developing a complete manuscript. You will receive:
- Collaborative sessions to develop a thorough, detailed storyline or outline.
- Overall feedback session: what makes your manuscript great and what changes will make it even better.
- Record of all changes and revisions using Word's Track Changes feature.
Timeline: 1-4 months, depending on length and stage of project.
Rate: $60 per hour OR flat project fee (to be determined after initial consultation).
